Description

'Disturbances' at Mount Prospect resulting in the wounding of Moses Boyce: forwards copies of depositions taken. Item includes Colonial Office minutes and copies of two letters from John Clements, inspector general of police, and of statements taken from John Henry Leacock, planter and attorney, John Thomas Pedder, estate manager, Samuel R Bend, labourer, John J Harris, cooper, Nathaniel Heath Greenidge, curate of Boscobel Chapel, Samuel Richard Harris, labourer, Benjamin Stroud [no occupation given], Thomas Small, wheelwright, Joseph H Griffith, cooper, and Martha Ann Harris, labourer. Governor's despatch printed for Parliament as C. 1539 of 1876.
