Postscript to Cumberland's letter to Sandwich of 2 April [SP 87/24/46] enclosing Newcastle's letter to him [SP 87/24/27], which he thinks conforms with Sandwich's first conversation with St Severin. He has advised Bathiani to send a courrier to Vienna to inform Maria Theresa of the reasonable attitude of the French and the weakness of the Dutch.
