Chesterfield to Cumberland: the affair at Hulst means that Dutch Flanders must be considered lost and Zealand at risk. A battalion of guards and two others are to be sent to Zealand. Major General Fuller is to be replaced by Major General Huske. The naval force is to be increased. Cumberland should consider seriously before engaging in battle. Dated (OS) at Whitehall. ff. 230-233
