Cumberland to Chesterfield: the French are in three corps, which together do not number more than 100,000. He is unable to advance because of the difficulty of transporting forage. He encloses an extract [SP 87/22/85] of returns from Bathiani, a specification of the sums allocated by Maria Theresa for the army in the Netherlands [SP 87/22/87, 88] and a copy of a letter from General de la Roque. Request from the states for assistance from Britain. Dated at headquarters at 'West Maal'. ff. 173-175
