Description

Newcastle to Villettes [copy, signed Chesterfield]: the king's disappointment that General Brown has recrossed the Var. Misunderstandings and suspicions at the courts of Vienna and Turin. The king insists that the empire and Sardinia supply the numbers of troops they are bound to by the convention of The Hague. He encloses a memorial from the Austrian ministers to Robinson. Importance of retaking Genoa. Movements of Rear Admiral Byng and Vice Admiral Medley. Cumberland is preparing to join the army. He encloses a copy of Chesterfield's letter to Robinson.
