Chesterfield to Cumberland: the king's opinions on the crossing of the Var. Arrangements for the exchange of prisoners. He encloses a letter from the earl of Morton. General St Clair's troops embarked in Ireland. The king will not contribute to the expense of the additional troops engaged by the Dutch. Cumberland is to expect a sudden attack by Saxe.
