Ligonier [to Harrington]: after four days at Bombay a council of war decided to cross the Maas below Maestricht and if possible attack the French at Tongres. Description of the crossing, on which the French retreated towards Liège. He encloses an order of battle [SP 87/21/17]. Shortage of bread.. Dated at camp at Lanahers. PS. that Saxe has returned to Tongres. ff. 34, 35
