Description

Ligonier [to Harrington]: Prince Charles [of Lorraine] is shortly to join the army. The marshal's [Bathiani's] plan is to protect Namur and Charleroi and attack the enemy if possible. He suggests Cumberland might share the command with Bathiani. Bathiani has received £100,000 from Mr. Pelham. Dated at camp at 'Diestem' [?Diest]. ff. 232, 233
