Harrington to Dunmore: Scotland would not support the number of horses the Hessians demand. He is first to embark the Hessian infantry, hussars and artillery. Their cavalry must await the return of the transports. He is to embark as many as possible of the British cavalry immediately. Dated (OS) at Whitehall. ff. 7, 8
