A [Andrew] Stone [under secretary] to Fawkener: certain persons in Scotland have been arrested for recruiting for the enemy, particularly Lord John Drummond's regiment. He wishes Fawkener to find among the Scottish deserters persons who can identify the recruiters and send them to England. Likewise anyone who knows and has information on Sir Hector McClean. PS. on Mr Hill, chaplain in one of the Flanders regiments, and his request for leave of absence. Dated (OS) at Whitehall. ff. 359-361
