A [Andrew] Stone [under secretary] to Fawkener enclosing copies of a letter to Trevor, his answer, two letters to Harrington and two letters from the lords justices of Ireland relating to the embarkation of troops for Flanders. Newcastle desires Fawkener to write as frequently as possible on the operations of the army and intelligence of the enemy, which will furnish material for the Gazette. More secret information should always be sent in a separate letter. Stone thanks Fawkener for his information on Turkish affairs. Dated (OS) at Whitehall. ff. 346-348
