Newcastle to Cumberland: Dutch dissatisfaction at the level of British reinforcements. Trevor has been instructed to negotiate with the elector of Cologne for 8,000 troops, and the lords of the council urge Cumberland to conclude the convention for a body of Flemish troops. 3,000 Austrian recruits have been raised, who could replace and make available the formed troops in Luxembourg.
