Description

Fawkener to Newcastle: circumstances of the fall of Ghent. Ostend may have been inundated. British and Dutch payments made to Königsegg. Cumberland's anger at the governor of Sluys [refusing access to Moltke]. The French have begun to besiege Oudenaarde. A plan for inundation near Antwerp. Dated at camp at Dieghem. ff. 198-200
