Reports on and makes recommendations concerning Colonial Surveyor, J H Markham Rae's case for compensation for the cost of his journey to Bermuda and the travel expenses connected with conducting inspections. The Colonial Office sanctions the payment of compensation as well as an annual payment of £30 for travel expenses out of the Powder Commutation Fund. Also see CO 37/216/23
