Forwards a letter from Colonial Surveyor, J H Markham Rae that highlights the inadequacy of his salary and requests to be repaid the £63 4s 11s that it cost to travel to Bermuda. Recommends that the amount should be paid out of the Quit Rents or Powder Commutation Funds. Also advises the payment of a grant of £100 from the Quit Rent Fund to cover the expense of travelling to carry out inspections. Also see CO 37/216/79
