In response to circular despatch of 25 May, forwards Dundas's report that the area of St Vincent is 83,115 acres or nearly 130 square miles, and that the smaller islands (known as the Grenadines) comprise 10,873 acres or nearly 17 square miles. Information compiled by the Colonial Engineer from Byre's maps published in 1776 and an 1861 Admiralty survey by Captain Parsons RN.
