Massingham requests that a speedy remedy be ordained for him against the prior. By the command of the prior, Overbeke and others came to his house in Methwold and carried away his goods and chattels, and sent his carts to carry away his hay from Massingham's court in the same vill.

Dated notionally to the first quarter of the fourteenth century on the basis of the hand. A reference on the guard, which suggests that the petition may date from c. 1332, is spurious.
