Nature of request
Santmarreis requests that his ejection from his church be tried by good men of the country. Santmarreis was instituted by the bishop and held it for 17 years. Norwiz, Blund and Grafton with others came to Grafton entered his church and afterwards proceeded to his house, and assaulted his people found there, and carried away his corn and other goods, and detained him from his church for nearly four years, by which he has laboured at the court of Rome to his great damage.
