Nature of request
Martyn requests that he might be able to have again his liberty of Blagdon and West Lydford according to the charters of the king's progenitors. The liberties were granted to his great-great-grandfather from Henry II, but, during the last eyre, Peveril held the manors with the liberties for the term of his life from Nicholas Fitz Martyn, and they were taken into the hands of the king by the non-claim of Peveril.
