Note
The petition makes reference to the service done for the king dating to the 20th year of his reign, and therefore dating this to 1346. In addition two pardons were granted to the petitioner and his wife, the first at the instance of the earls of Northampton, Warwick, Suffolk and Huntingdon on 10 July, and the second made on 26 October 1346 (CPR 1345-8, pp.150, 417). It seems likely that the petition was answered by the latter of these.
