Nature of request
The petitioners request remedy and that they might be able to approach their inheritance from which they have been wrongly disseised since the king has since seized it into his hand. Henry III granted the commote of Mechain to their grandfather, they being seised of two parts of the commote after the conquest of Wales until they were wrongly disseised by Gwenwynwyn without judgement.1)
