Nature of request
The burgesses request a remedy and that they are able to have another grant of the tolls of Liverpool of which they were seised in aid of their farm by charter of Kings John and Henry III until the time of the earl of Lancaster who was lord of Liverpool who ousted them from their tolls by his will and mastery without reason.1)
Nature of endorsement
They should show what they have, and they should enquire of the truth of the matter and the inquisition should be returned into Chancery and let justice be done.2) Coram rege.
