Eynon Lyglyw asks to be confirmed in the bailiwicks of woodward and farmer of Tywyn and Dolgellau, which he has held without complaint up to the present, paying the accustomed farm at the Caernarfon Exchequer.
Nature of endorsement
The king does not wish to remove any of his good ministers provided that they act well; and he is to have a writ on this to the justice, that provided he acts well and loyally towards the king, he is not to be removed from the bailiwicks.
Note
Petitions Relating to Wales p.86 dates this petition to '?1284-1327': from the hand and the French endorsement, it seems likely to date from the later part of this period, and perhaps most probably from the early years of Edward III's reign, when bailiwicks would be likely to be confirmed.
