Helen, widow of Richard de Louches, complains that Hugh le Despenser, Earl of Winchester, accusing her husband of being an adherent of Roger Damory, expelled him from his lands and possessions, and also lay in wait to capture them, so that they had to live in hiding for half a year and more until they had paid him 300 marks, and a further 60 marks to John de Handlo: which has left her impoverished. She requests a remedy.
