Nature of request
The petitioner on his own behalf, and for the greater part of the commons of Lynn and the merchants of the town, asks the king to grant a commission of oyer and terminer to investigate breaches of their town's charters and franchises by the bishop of Norwich and his bailiffs, who have moved the market in the town to the loss and grievance of the petitioner, merchants, and people of the town.
