Nature of request
The petitioner seeks Pencehedlaeth in the form that his father held it, especially as it would in no way turn to the prejudice of the king. He shows that he and his father and their ancestors, in the time of kings and princes had Pencehedlaeth over their coparceners of the lineage of Hwfa ap Cynddelw, which Llewelyn could not lay claim to or pursue because of his lack of power and his youth after the death of his father.1)
Nature of endorsement
Let the justice be ordered to inform the king on the points contained in the petition, such that the king may do more what would seem right to be done by law and according to the custom of the country.2) Let the petition be made over to the Justice of Wales.
