Nature of request
The petitioner asks that Richard de Havering render his account for his time as constable of Bordeaux, in order to charge him of a certain debt according to the wishes of the king's father. He states that the king's father was held to William Servat in £1600, which he ordered by writ to Havering to pay Servat, for which Havering ordered (by letters to Frescobaldi and his associated receivers of the customs of Gascony) payment of the debt, which was not done. The petitioner has Havering's letters awaiting his charge or other remedy by the award of the king's council.
Nature of endorsement
Let him have an order to the treasurers and barons of the exchequer to summon before them the aforesaid Richard in the way of the executor, and inspect the orders he has and the letters that the executor has and hear their reasons, and thereafter make right.
