The petitioner seeks recovery of 180 acres of land in Fraygnes that were held of the bishop in chief by William de Bermingham. The lands were taken into the king's hands on William's conviction and execution and held for a year and a day, and thus ought to return to the bishop by due process as escheats, but they have been restored to William's son Walter.
