Nature of request
The petitioner seeks damages of £1000 and shows that she was in the king's peace at Fresden in Wiltshire when Aylmer the father, Aylmer the son, Faris, and others unknown came with force and arms with the support of Despenser, threw her out of her house and broke her doors and windows. She then mounted her horse and went to see her corn in Fresden, whence came Aylmer and the others and she dismounted and her horse with all its equipment worth 100s was taken and remains in their possession. Furthermore, as she handed her carucate of land over to the Hayward, Aylmer the son and the others came and took eight oxen worth ten marks from her carucate and wounded and assaulted her men such that she cannot cultivate her land, and from day to day they harass her men with force and arms such that none will remain, for which she cannot obtain a remedy through the law.
