Nature of request
The petitioners seek justice and the recovery of goods worth 100s, which they could not obtain through the common law. They show that Amabille was witness to the destruction of the corn of John de Lente in the fields of Fresden in Wiltshire when Aylmer came with other men under his authority in force and arms against the peace and carried off Amabille against her will, and held her from the morrow of St Bartholomew until the hour of prime, taking the petitioners' goods and chattels.
