Nature of request
The petitioner seeks the king's pardon for various offences. He states that recently (while he was absent) Pauceset and Hynkele came to his hostel in Hereford and took his weapons and other equipment, upon which Chaundos testified that the said weapons and equipment were there shortly before their removal, for which Pauceset and Hynkele were indicted as thieves; upon this their men came and took the remainder of the petitioner's weapons and equipment. The bailiffs of Hereford enquired of the men who took the goods and they were found to be of the households of Pauceset and Hynkele, who reported that they were taken with the petitioner's consent. The petitioner also seeks the king's pardon for borrowing 50s from Daudele, and for borrowing from Pauceset and Hynkele to go to Crickhowell, to his mother.
