- The petitioner seeks release from large charges made on his account by the treasurer and barons of the exchequer for his time (two and three quarter years) as sheriff of Lincoln, during which time he leased various wapentakes in his jurisdiction to certain persons for certain farms for the king's profit. And now he has been called to account by other sheriffs and approvers in the same county to answer before the king for the said leases, to his great damage and impoverishment.
