The petitioner seeks an enquiry into the damages caused to him and the king for the abrogation of his lease on certain properties in the manor of Langley-near-Windsor. He states that he leased one messuage, toft, twenty-one acres of land, and an acre of meadow (held of the king in villeinage) in the manor of Langley-near-Windsor from Cristiene de Mareys, for three years for 10s each year, which manor was leased from the king by Cristiene for her lifetime. Three years after her lifetime lease she entered into agreements with Eschalere contrary to the terms of petitioner's lease.
