Nature of request
The petitioner seeks a remedy from the king in that a consignment of his wool worth £250 bound for St Omer with Richard de Langford and other of his servants in a ship that was driven by a tempest of the sea into Flanders, was taken by Gerlof to the damage and loss of the petitioner, and the testimony for this is provided by letters from Gerlof and letters under the common seal of Southampton.
Nature of endorsement
Let him have a writ to the count of Flanders for two places, or to the county town of Sluis that they make justice thereon according to their custom.
