The petitioner seeks a royal writ to the treasurer and chamberlains of Ireland for the payment of his fee (£100) and writs from the chancellor to the same that they should search their rolls for memoranda of his expenses (£60) incurred while he was keeper of Ireland during the absence in England of the king's lieutenant, William de Windsor, and make payment to him of his arrears therein. The petitioner spent heavily on his own account for the defence of Ireland during time of war (without remuneration) and now asks for payment of his fee and more for all his efforts on behalf of the king's grandfather.
Nature of endorsement
He is to be granted writs to the treasurer, barons and chamberlains of the exchequer to make payment of his expenses, and allowances made on his account from the customary fees of the office.He is to be granted a similar writ for his time as keeper of Ireland as part of his payment.
