Nature of request
The petitioner seeks a remedy from the king because Derneford (wrongfully and by force) entered his granges in Holt and took away a measure (batu) of his corn worth £10 without payment, and through the power of his office prevented the petitioner from taking his corn and income from Sutton and Dutton.
Nature of endorsement
An order by chancery writ to the earl of Warenne, lord of Bromfield and the said castle that he makes restitution for the goods and punishes those ministers and bailiffs [responsible], nor should any other people of the church be specially taxed.
