Nature of request
The petitioner asks the king to grant him a cask of red wine from Gascony at Christmas next following from the hands of the king's chief butler or his representative in the port of Sandwich and thereafter the same each year for his lifetime. In time to come the petitioner may enter a religious order and is still to have the cask of wine at Christmas for the duration of his natural life, notwithstanding his death in law.
