- The petitioner complains that whereas in ancient times the town of Scarborough was enclosed of the sea now it has receded except for the occasional remnant and the town has grown, and haulage is required to come to the same sea. The petitioner asks the king to grant him leave of haulage across one place from the sea, which until recently was close to his residence in the town.
