Nature of request
The petitioners ask the king to order the collectors of the tenths and fifteenths in Nottinghamshire to make payment or assignment of certain debts owed to Keyser for the implementation of his will and the salvation of his soul. The petitioners have a bill sealed by Pole (at that time the king's butler) and others for the purchase of wines for the king's use for seventy-seven marks and seven shillings, which Keyser sued for in parliament and which has thus far not been paid, and Keyser himself was indebted to various men.
Nature of endorsement
Let an order be sent to the treasurer and barons of the exchequer that they should inspect the letters mentioned in the petition and find out if the debt is closed or still due, and then to make restitution by payment or convenient assignment.
