Nature of request
1) Copy of a writ of certiorari to Walter Lenfaunt: Instructions to send for inspection in the next parliament all the documentation concerning the dispute between Ralph Pippard and John de Kent at the Drogheda eyre over the manor of Dysart. 6 April 1305.2) Copy of a writ of precipe to the sheriff of Meath: Instruction that the sheriff order John de Kent to immediately surrender Dysart to Ralph Pippard because John has ceased to provide his services for two years etc., with sanctions if he does not obey etc. Witnessed by Wogan the Justiciar at Dublin, 5 November 1302.3) Pleas of juries and assizes before Walter Lenfaunt and his fellow itinerant justices at Drogheda in Meath, 13 January 1302.4) Account of the default of John de Kent at the Drogheda eyre: Pippard (through his attorney) offers himself on the fourth day etc., against Kent etc., who does not appear and who has defaulted before at the octaves of Martinmas etc. It is adjudged that Pippard recover the manor of Dysart and that Kent is to be fined for unjust detention etc.1)
Nature of endorsement
He is to go into chancery and have a writ to Roger le Brabazon and his associates to proceed on the record according to the law and custom.2) He is to have a writ to Walter Lenfaunt to produce the record before the same justices.
