Nature of request
The Prioress and convent of Kilburn state that the king in his fourteenth year granted them 1 mark of annual rent to be received from the tenement which once belonged to Fulk le Taverner in Bread Street in London, which was later purchased by Philip de la Beche, but that they have not been able to receive this since the Mayor of London took those tenements into the king's hand because of Philip's trespass. They request grace and a remedy.

They are to show the charter for the gift in Chancery, and justice is to be done there.

Dated with reference to CPR 1321-4 p.40, the forfeiture of Philip de la Beche: the orders for the seizure of his goods and his arrest are dated 6 and 7 December, 1321. This petition must date from a little time after that, to allow time for non-payment of the rent.
