Nature of request
William, son of William de Kaynes of Faldo, who is under age and in the keeping of Thomas de Evesham and John de Lyouns, states that a debt is demanded of him for the remainder of the account of Richard de Knolle, formerly collector of the twelfth, eighth, eleventh and seventh granted to the king's father, and that his lands are lying fallow and he is unable to pay. He asks that he might be able to pay by instalments of 40s. annually, to be paid in equal portions at Easter and Michaelmas.
