- The executors of the testament of John, Bishop of Carlisle, state that the king owes him £169 19s. 3d. for wool bought from him by Edward I, and that the king previously sent a writ to the Treasurer and Barons of the Exchequer asking them to make an allowance for this in the debts owed by the bishop to the king, but that nothing was done about this in the bishop's lifetime. They request that the bishop's debts to the king might now be allowed against this sum, and payment made of any money remaining.
