Nature of request
Letter from Edward II to the Treasurer and Barons of the Exchequer, stating that the Bishop of Carlisle has petitioned for an allowance in the debts he owes the king for £169 19s. 3d. owed to him by Edward I, for wools taken for his use, and asking them, after establishing that the money is due, and examining the late king's warrant for the allowances and satisfactions to be made to the bishop for this sum, to do as the warrant suggests.
