- The clergy of the Diocese of Carlisle complain that although their churches have been burnt down and destroyed in the Scottish war, certain ancient tithes granted to the king's ancestors by Pope Clement are now being demanded of them. They request to be pardoned these, as old debts have been pardoned to the community of the March which is in similar case; or that some suitable remedy might be ordained for them.
