Nature of request
The Prioress and nuns of Cannington state that they have no chaplain to say Mass for them except the parish priest, and ask that Robert Fitz Payn might be allowed to alienate some land in mortmain [to provide one].
Nature of endorsement
The inquisition is to be examined, and if it is found that it is not to the king's harm, they are to have permission for a reasonable fin to be paid, to hold of the king by the due and customary services.
