Nature of request
The Prior of St John outside the new gate of Dublin states that he previously had a bill granting him the king's charter for some tenements given to him by John le Mareschal and Richard le Noble, for a payment of 40 marks at the English Exchequer, and asks that this charter might be made and sent to the Treasurer of Ireland so that he can pay the money and have his charter.
Nature of endorsement
The previous endorsement is to be examined, and if it is thus, he is to pay the money and have the king's charter.

Dated on the guard to '? 1303-7', with reference to the fact that the prior made fine for the charter on 9 December 31 Edward I (1302). 'Irish Ancient Petitions' p.18 dates to 'c.1303'.
