Nature of request
The Prior and brothers of the hospital of St John of Jerusalem in England make two requests:1) They request execution of the judgment in a plea in Common Bench between them and the king concerning the advowson of the church of Blewbury, formerly of the patronage of the Templars.2) They also request the grace of the king and council according to the ordinance concerning the lands of the Templars.

Coram rege.The record and process of the plea are to be brought before the king by the justices, and he will speak his will on this.

The king presents Adam de Osgodeby to the church of Blewbury on 6 July 1312 (CPR 1307-13 p.468), and Roger de Northburgh on 20 and 24 August 1316 (CPR 1313-17 pp.532, 533 and 535). This petition is likely be later than this, as is also suggested by the French endorsement.
