The Abbot of Hyde states that the advowson of the church of Kingsclere, which the king currently holds, belonged to his predecessors from the time of the conquest to war in the reign of King John, at which time it was usurped by the ancestors of Reginald Fitz Peter. He requests justice in this matter.
