[This petition is fragmentary.]Rhys ap Howel requests delivery of lands, tenements, fees and advowsons lost by reason of the quarrel of Thomas, Earl of Lancaster.
Nature of endorsement
This petition is to be sent to Chancery, and the Chancellor is to inform himself of the reason why the lands and other things contained in the petition were taken into the king's hand; and if they were taken into the king's hand because of the quarrel etc. and for no other reason, then the lands, tenements, fees and advowsons are to be restored, together with the issues and arrears which the king has not used.

Dated to 1327 by Petitions Relating to Wales p.75. The petitioner was a supporter of Thomas of Lancaster and the contrariants against Hugh le Despenser.
